Samuel has worked closely with non-profit entities on legal structuring, board governance, registrations, and compliance with public benefit and tax laws in Kenya. She brings a strong track record in high-value contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and boardroom governance, having supported infrastructure projects in Kenya. As a Certified Secretary, she has provided company secretarial services to multiple entities; ensuring transparency, regulatory compliance, and efficient corporate governance. Joy is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has significantly contributed to arbitration training programs in Africa. Her multidisciplinary expertise, coupled with a keen understanding of legal risk and institutional structure, positions Joy to deliver strategic governance support as EUSMS scales across the continent.

Mary is a seasoned lawyer with 14 years of legal practice working in a leading law firm in Kampala. Her main area of practice is commercial/corporate law.

She also has international legal experience having most recently worked as the Head Legal (Remote) of Stratton Global Pty Ltd Australia.

She has a law degree (LLB) from Makerere University Kampala and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre Kampala.

She is an enrolled Advocate of the High Court and all subordinate Courts.

She is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.

In her free time, she volunteers with Amnesty International and Avaaz to promote human rights.

By joining the EUSMS team, Mary hopes to make a positive impact on other people’s lives by championing women’s rights and coaching aspiring entrepreneurs in all legal aspects.
