We’re looking for a motivated, mid- to senior-level generalist as
Type: Remote | volunteer | unpaid | part-time (10h/week)
You’ll contribute your skills in a flexible, 100% volunteer environment. You’ll work with leaders and teams from all over the world and help keep our operations running smoothly – especially as we scale our activities across the East African region. If you enjoy organizing, coordinating, and jumping between different types of tasks, you’ll feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
· Support senior leaders with scheduling, meeting prep, and follow-ups
· Keep communication and documentation organized and easy to find
· Create simple reports, summaries, and presentations
· Jump into different areas when needed (HR, Operations, Projects, IT, Communications)
· Help coordinate internal projects, task lists, and deadlines
· Support onboarding of new volunteers with HR and team leads
· Organize templates, shared folders, and SOPs
· Keep track of action items and remind teams of deadlines
· Help smooth out communication gaps between global volunteers
· Support coordination with local partners, teams, and stakeholders
· Help gather updates, summarize progress, and prepare simple status reports
· Assist with communication between global volunteers and East African teams
Qualifications & Skills
· Mid-to senior-level experience in administrative, operational, or assistant roles
· Comfortable supporting leaders and multiple teams
· Ability to commit ~10 hours/week in a volunteer, unpaid environment
· Confident with MS Office 365, online tools, and general digital workflows
· Comfortable using (or learning) Odoo Community Edition (our ERPsystem)
· Experience with tools like Canva and open-source applications is a plus

· Highly organized, proactive, and not afraid to jump into new topics
· Reliable and hands-on — you get things done
· Strong English; other languages welcome
· Ability to work asynchronously with volunteers in different time zones
